  • Junior Figure Skating Academy

    • Basic Skills 3+ | Classes meet for 30 min

      While encouraging skaters to accelerate their completion of the Basic Skills Curriculum, academy coaches encourage skaters to enhance the quality of their basic skating giving them a strong foundation in fundamental figure skating techniques.

      Skaters are required to attend at least two of the five weekly scheduled academy sessions. All freestyle and public session practice ice and academy sessions are included in fee.

  • Elite Figure Skating Academy
    • Free Skate 3+ | Classes meet for 30 min

      Intended for skaters Free Skate 3 and higher. Skaters receive specialized and challenging instruction in jump & spin techniques, stroking, foot work and power skating, moves in the field, ice dance and music interpretation. Skaters are strongly encouraged to set and practice towards achieving US Figure Skating test and competition goals each season.

      Skaters are required to attend at least two of the five weekly scheduled academy sessions. All freestyle and public session practice ice and academy sessions are included in fee.

  • Youth Synchronized Skating
    • Synchonized Skating is the fastest growing component of figure skating combining elements of ballet, ice dance and pairs skating into an exciting on ice performance. The team aspect of synchronized skating encourages camaraderie and long term participation in skating. Team members execute difficult formations with speed and accuracy.

      Wollman Rink is home to 4 Synchronized Skating Teams called Central Park Ice.
