FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


How can I register?
Registration for all of our programs is available now ONLINE or by phone, 212-744-0882.  In person registration will commence when the rink opens for the skating season, on or about October 20, 2018.

Do classes fill up?
While popular programs and class times - especially on the weekends - do fill up, so long as space remains available, some classes and programs will remain open for new enrollment throughout the season.

How will I know when my skater is ready to move up to the next level?

Students progress at their own pace, are evaluated throughout the season and promoted to the next level when appropriate.

What happens when the weather is bad?

You may check the status of your skating program on days of inclement weather by logging on to our website: www.wollmanrink.com   Weather status updates can be found on the home page of our website under "Announcements".  We also have a Twitter account dedicated to Skate School Cancellation/Rink Status updates:  follow us on Twitter @2Sk8OrNot2Sk8 
We make every effort to post and update rink and lesson status at least one hour prior to the start of your lesson. Weather status updates can be found on the home page of our website under "Announcements".


When will I receive my student ID card?

Student ID Cards will be mailed out during the second week of October 2018.  Please watch for your card to arrive and put it in your skate bag so you always have it when you arrive at the rink. All Skating School, Academy and Hockey members will receive a Student ID Card. It is very important to present this card and have it swiped at the entrance each time you arrive at the rink. Students who forget their card will have to wait in line to be manually checked in through the office.

What is your refund policy?

Lesson fees are non-refundable, but credit may be transferred to another skater or future skating season.
